Then you have come to the right place!
We in the Hyperacusis Association think just like you. We want the issues of hyperacusis and noise to get attention and think we are well on the way.
Hyperacusis and noise are growing problems in society. More and more people seek help for hyperacusis and damage due to noise. There is still not enough knowledge about those problems to offer an effective treatment.
We who suffer from hyperacusis know that those closest to us often don?t understand what we are talking about.
That is why it is important we all join together and try to make this known.
Join us! Make your opinion heard and influence the view of society on hyperacusis and noise. We want to inform and spread knowledge about hyperacusis and noise and work for ongoing scientific research about hyperacusis and noise. We want to work for the prevention of hyperacusis and lowering of the level of noise.

The Association for Hyperacusis in Stockholm County is a non-profit and politically neutral interest organization for people who suffer from hyperacusis and noise with object:
- to look after the interests of the members in society and working life
- to inform and spread knowledge about hyperacusis and noise
- through the activities of the association and education support people who suffer from hyperacusis and noise
- to work for the ongoing scientific research about hyperacusis and noise
- to try to prevent hyperacusis and noise
- to follow the international development in the areas of hyperacusis and noise
- to co-operate with other similar organizations in Sweden and abroad
